The Buyers’ Forum delegates met with the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka, to discuss the situation of the apparel sector today and its prospects for sustainable growth.
Members of the BGMEA Support Committee attended the conference, which covered topics such as ways to increase Bangladeshi garment exports and other urgent concerns facing the sector.
Md. Anwar Hossain, the BGMEA Administrator, conveyed his sincere appreciation to international companies for their continued cooperation and support of Bangladesh’s apparel industry at the meeting. He urged brand ambassadors to continue this collaboration in the future.
Hossain emphasised the significant progress made by Bangladesh’s apparel industry in improving worker welfare, fostering environmental sustainability, and establishing safe working conditions. He called on global brands to display these achievements on the international scene.
Representatives from well-known international clothing companies, including H&M, Marks & Spencer, VF Corporation, Gemo, Celio, Gap, OUS, Auchan, CSS, Allure Sourcing, Otto International, and El Cortes Engels, were among those present. The talks sought to guarantee sustained growth in clothing exports while reaffirming the industry’s dedication to ethical and environmental practices.
