Shin Shin Group has entered into an agreement with renewable energy provider Sherpa Power to install a 400 kWp rooftop solar power system at Suad Garments Industries Ltd., marking a significant step toward sustainable energy integration in the country’s garment manufacturing sector.
The rooftop solar installation is projected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 248,000 kilograms of CO₂ equivalent each year. By incorporating renewable energy at the industrial level, the project aims to minimise environmental impact while supporting energy efficiency in garment production.
This initiative underscores Shin Shin Group’s broader efforts to transition to cleaner energy sources in its operations. The collaboration also highlights Sherpa Power’s growing role in enabling industrial clients to adopt solar technology as part of Bangladesh’s energy diversification goals.
