Fashion Asia Ltd, a LEED-certified sustainable apparel manufacturing company and a sister concern of the Northern Tosrifa Group, recently held a voluntary blood donation program at its factory premises to address the emergency blood needs of its workers.
Aqib Jafri Sharif, Director of Northern Tosrifa Group, highlighted the importance of worker well-being, stating that the workers’ well-being is a holistically measuring of their health, especially physical at the company’s workplace. He emphasised the company’s commitment to improving employees’ health through initiatives like the free Blood Grouping and Diabetes Screening Campaign.
The campaign aimed to educate workers about their health and promote self-sufficiency in emergency blood requirements. Sharif added that the blood bein given was for their labour. He emphasised that the company will be self-sufficient in meeting the blood demands for emergency situations and that the staff and workers of the company will not require any outside help when it comes to blood requirement.
