ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd is set to host the 10th Yarn, Fabrics & Accessories Show from 11th-14th December 2024, at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka. The event will feature over 150 international suppliers showcasing a diverse range of yarn, fabrics, and accessories, highlighting their latest innovations all under one roof.
Targeted at buying offices, buying agents, ready-made garment (RMG) exporters, knit composite units, label manufacturers, and importers, the show presents an opportunity for industry stakeholders to source new collections and identify potential suppliers.
Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, Managing Director of ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, emphasised the significance of the focused tradeshow, stating, “A focused tradeshow on yarn, fabrics, and accessories showcased by overseas suppliers plays an important role in sourcing the latest collections for the upcoming season.”
The event is supported by esteemed organisations such as the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA), the Merchandising Brotherhood Association Bangladesh (MBABD), and the Bangladesh Merchandisers & Suppliers Association (BMSA), which aim to benefit their respective members.
In recent developments, Bangladesh’s ready-made garment exports to new markets have experienced robust growth of 10 per cent, amounting to US $ 7.70 billion during the July-April period of FY ’24, compared to US $ 7 billion in the same period the previous fiscal year. Following a month of disruptions due to political changes and labor unrest, international apparel retailers and brands are returning to Bangladesh, placing orders for upcoming seasons as stability returns to the sector.
Local garment suppliers report increased visits from Western retailers and brands, who are inquiring about production capabilities. Orders for the next autumn and winter seasons are being placed as manufacturing activities at key industrial hubs like Savar, Ashulia, and Gazipur return to normal.
