Pakistan-based textile products manufacturer, M.A. Textiles, becomes the first textile manufacturer in the country to install a Javelin digital printer. The textile company installed SPGPrints’ Javelin digital printer at its Shahdara facility located in Lahore to build on its digital printing capacity.
SPGPrints’ Javelin printer precisely prints at variable ink drops ranging from 2pL-10pL. Since M.A. Textiles is more into cotton printing, Javelin can eliminate the nozzle clogging issue that usually occurs during the cotton printing process. This elimination can be achieved by the patented Archer Technology that helps printer’s ink to circulate uninterruptedly across the print head. Hence, ensuring the print heads to be more effective, durable and damage-free, and thereby, long-lasting.
Additionally, the digital Javelin printer will enable M.A. Textiles to print textiles in additional colours than using a conventional printer.
With the path-breaking installation at M.A. Textiles, its digital printing capacity is expected to reach two million linear metres per year. Moreover, the printer will minimise setup time, reduce lead time, and make the firm cost-competitive in the textile printing segment.
Explaining the significance of the installed printer, SPGPrints reports that M.A. Textiles was manoeuvring for a digital printing solution to meet evolving technical necessity of the today’s textile market. Therefore, the firm placed a purchase order for Javelin printer at last year’s global textile technology meet ITM, held in Istanbul, Turkey.
M.A. Textiles commented, “We are planning to bring our digitally printed textiles to the retail market by the end of this year. Our dyeing customers have reacted with enthusiasm to our digital printing investment in Javelin of SPGPrints, and the value it brings to them.”
