VDMA – a leading Germany-based Textile Machinery Association – is organising its next webtalk on 19 January 2022 on theme – “Recycling of man-made fibres – challenges and solutions towards a textile circular economy.”
According to VDMA, the webtalk will be displayed and handled via its VDMA Textile Machinery Newsroom on IndustryArena.
In this webtalk, Amrei Becker, ITA Institut für Textiltechnik der RWTH Aachen University and Markus Reichwein, Oerlikon Textile GmbH & Co. KG (Manmade Fibers) will present the challenges and solutions for a sustainable circular economy.
Under the umbrella of the EU Green Deal, the European Commission intends to develop a strategy on “Circular Textile Economy.” A strategy adopted by the Commission is expected to be in place in 2022.
As circular economy is projected to have a profound impact on the future of the man-made fibre industry and open up many new opportunities, the webtalk aims at welcoming stakeholders from the man-made fibres industry from all over the world.
