The 5th edition of TECHNOTEX India, which will run from April 21-23, has been declared open by Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State for Textiles (Independent Charge).
During the show, the ministers will also be releasing ‘i-ATUFS’ software and guidelines; Textiles Compendium 2014-15; and standards and knowledge report which have been developed to provide directional guidelines to the technical textiles industry of India and create an eco-system of sustainable growth through partnerships and collaborations between participants and the Government.

Speaking on the importance of TECHNOTEX India, Gangwar said, “It gives me immense pleasure to announce the 5th edition of TECHNOTEX 2016. We have made substantial growth over the last few years, with larger and successful participation from Indian and international fraternity. The platform has been an enabler for linkages, technology transfer, exchange of innovative ideas, joint ventures and showcase of international trends in the technical textiles sector in the country and will continue to play a significant role in strengthening the industry further.”
TECHNOTEX India is organized by Ministry of Textiles in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), to provide a common platform for interaction amongst stakeholders from across the global technical textile value chain. The fair is expected to draw in more than 150 exhibitors from countries like Korea, Switzerland, Japan, USA, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Russia, UK, Spain and many more.

Dignitaries such as Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Dr. Kavita Gupta, Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, and Chairman, FICCI Technical Textile Task Force were also present at the opening ceremony.
