Indian power loom industry delegation to meet PM

The power loom sector of India is seeking for more concession for the sector and re-introduction of duty drawback. In this regard, a team of PDEXCIL office bearers will meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon. The newly-elected Chairman of Power loom Development and Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL), M Duraisamy, said that the power loom sector need re-introduction of duty drawback so that more units will involve in export of the textiles to other countries. Currently, the power loom sector is fulfilling 60 per cent of the cloth demand of the country, and of the total textile exports every year; its share is two per cent.
