The Foreign Minister of Bangladesh AK Abdul Momen said the country was likely to graduate from the least developed country (LDC) to a developing nation by the end of February.
As per media reports, the Foreign Minister made this observation on 5 January (Tuesday) while addressing the inaugural session of a three-day DCCI Business Conclave as the chief guest.
You will be pleased to know that hopefully by the end of next month we will be out of LDC, the Foreign Minister, reportedly, said while adding the DCCI’s business conclave will help to reach out the international business community and strengthening global connections.
Further, while underlining that Bangladesh had done a remarkable job in tackling the coronavirus pandemic and at the same time keeping its economy almost fully functional, AK Abdul Momen, reportedly, maintained that Bangladesh is a development miracle in terms of sustainable GDP growth and the socioeconomic parameters achieved under the present Government.
Amidst the coronavirus pandemic it achieved 5.24 per cent GDP growth, which is the highest in Asia, the Foreign Minister claimed.
