When it comes to garments manufacturing, Bangladesh is a country with a large number of manufacturing units as well as a substantial number of small and medium buying houses, each having its own set of buyers.
However, an interesting trend seems to have emerged in this sector lately. Many of these medium-sized buying houses are growing at an amazing pace, and have in fact also started setting up their own manufacturing units. Dazzle Textile Ltd is one such buying house. Currently having a small setup with 68 machines, the company plans on installing around 1,000 machines.

While speaking to Apparel Resources, Dazzle Textile Ltd MD Sahed Hasan and the company’s Deputy MD Shekh Aminul Islam Soyeb, said that they had been working with several factories, but always faced certain issues like delay in delivery etc.
“We are trying to set up our own factory now, so that we don’t have to face those problems anymore. It will take almost a year to start this new set-up. As of now, we are dealing with only knit items like T-shirts, sweaters and denims, but we will also try to add woven products in our own factory,” Sahed Hasan said.
Having worked with wholesalers in Canada, London and Dubai, and generating business of more than US$ 0.1 million a month, Sahed has an aggressive growth plan. His target is to touch US $ 10 million in next few years.
