Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi recently maintained his Government was very keen on sorting out the issues faced by the country’s apparel industry on priority, while also adding Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already given instructions to this end.
As per reports, the Commerce Minister made these remarks while exchanging views with BGMEA leaders in the port city of Chittagong recently, even as he urged all concerned to play a positive role in the larger interest of the national economy.
BGMEA First Vice President Syed Nazrul Islam, reportedly, led the BGMEA team, which included, amongst others, Vice President Rakibul Alam Chowdhury and former Vice President (Finance) Mohammad Nasir.
The leaders of the apex garment makers’ body, reportedly, met the Commerce Minister at Hotel Radisson Blu in Chittagong recently.
