
Officials of Bangladesh’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) recently met with Bangladesh Textile University office bearers to check on the spot allegations of irregularities in the result of admission test.
Media reports maintained this citing the ACC Public Relation Officer, according to whom the ACC team, which carried out the probe, was headed by the Assistant Director of the ACC while adding the enforcement team discussed in details the allegations with the officials and the Vice-Chancellor of the Bangladesh Textile University even as the team, reportedly, collected the records related to the allegations against the university.
Meanwhile, university officials, reportedly, informed the ACC team the result of the admission test for BSc in Textile Engineering course for 2020-21, which was, reportedly, published on 11 November 2021, was, reportedly, found to be erroneous owing to software-related technical fault, subsequent to which, on 18 November 2021, the result was withdrawn, even as following the decision of Admission Committee on 19 November 2021, the corrected results were, reportedly, republished.
