Jeanologia, one of the world’s premier developers of sustainable finishing technology for denim jeans will be unveiling ‘Light Scraper’ at ‘Denim By’ trade show in Barcelona. Based on an optical technology that modulates Jeanologia laser, Light Scraper replicates worn or scraped looks to create authentic virtual slubs on jeans. Thus, open end denim, crosshatch, slub or ring spun denim can be prepared by pressing a single button on Light Scraper. Developed to be in line with the current industry scenario, the machine will not eliminate excess fabric entries but even replace workers doing hand sanding and manual scraping. Jeanologia invested € 3 million and three years in research of this technology, developed by a multidisciplinary team of engineers at the R&D centres of the company in Spain.
