Close on heels of kickstarting its journey on 26 September 2020, Merchant Bay – an online platform to connect buyers with the sellers/exporters and a subsidiary of garment exporting company Sayem Group – is all set to organise ‘Digital Trade Week’, for the first time in Bangladesh.
To be held between 15 and 21 October, the 7-day programme will facilitate virtual meeting between global buyers and Bangladeshi suppliers.
According to media reports, during the event, which will also witness participation of industry leaders, influencers and speakers from world-renowned organisations from both home and abroad who will discuss and share valuable inputs on the future prospect of digital trade, leadership and the garment industry in Bangladesh in various sessions that have been lined up, Merchant Bay will reportedly promote verified suppliers to the global buyers and help buyers understand better the market and suppliers in Bangladesh.
This is the first digital trade week in Bangladesh and the country’s apparel manufacturing sector, stated Managing Director of Merchant Bay Abrar Hossain Sayem while adding that through this platform suppliers can connect with buyers from around 50 countries across the globe.
Verified suppliers of our platform can participate for free, further added Abrar underlining each supplier will have a success manager, who in turn, will match and connect buyers considering supplier’s capacity, product categories and other relevant factors.
