Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2016 adds extra day; this means that the fair will be held over four days instead of three in 2016. Asia’s leading event for the home textiles industry will take place from 24-27 August, at a newly constructed National Exhibition and Convention Centre, Shanghai. The decision of adding one more day to the fair is due to a strong feedback from exhibitors and buyers since few years.

The fair is organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA) every year. Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. averred, “Demand in the Chinese market for overseas brands still remains strong and we expect this to remain the case in 2016. This gives us confidence that the extended duration of the fair will prove a success.”
International exhibitors will feature in areas for upholstery, bedding & towelling, wall coverings, carpets & rugs as well as non-textile products. The Intertextile Design Boutique Area for original service designs and artwork, the Whole-Home Style Area and the Digital Printing Zone are set to return again. Domestic exhibitors will be grouped in regional pavilions as well as various product areas.

Furthermore, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, which is scheduled to take place from 16-18 March 2016, after a gap of two years is to be held concurrently with four textile fairs – Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition, Yarn Expo Spring, CHIC garment fair and PH Value. The fair is held during the peak sourcing period in China for finished items and is ideally suited for suppliers of these products. This time exhibitors can meet more of their target buyers at the Spring Edition due to the co-location of the CHIC garment fair which attracts a wide range of domestic distributors, retailers, department stores and chain stores.
