The Dhaka Int’l Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition (DTG) authority announces the postponing of the 17th edition of the exhibition owing to COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will now be held from 28 to 31 January 2021 at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka.
The news was announced on 13 April by the organisers Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd.
A lot of countries have started taking precautionary measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus. Bangladesh Government is also conducting series of control and prevention measures. The ICCB venue for the event might also be converted into temporary hospitals for the treatment of COVID-19 affected patients.
More on this, a statement released by the organisers, said “DTG being one of the most important industrial events in Bangladesh, health and safety is always our top priority. Due to this force majeure of pandemic, we decide to postpone the scheduled event to 2021.”
The DTG website is still operational and will be promoting exhibitors and products. The participants will still be able to update information of the company and product using the previous username/password.
