Imports of polyester filament yarn from China, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia are subject to an anti-dumping duty in Vietnam, as per the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
This ruling is a component of Decision No. 2302/QDpoy-BCT, which was made to shield home producers from unfair competition.
On 1st November 2018, the ministry reviewed the anti-dumping actions taken against these imports. The assessment affirms that these tariffs must be maintained to protect regional industries.
The new duties on polyester yarn imports are set at different rates for each country, at 17 per cent for China, 54.9 per cent for India, 60.6 per cent for Indonesia, and 6.4 per cent for Malaysia. These rates were determined following an investigation that began on 12th May 2023.
Following Government Decree 10/2018/ND-CP, involved parties may request a review of the anti-dumping measures within 60 days before the end of the first year of the decision’s enforcement. The deadline for submitting review requests is 1st November 2024.
