USA has continued sourcing more and more brassieres products and the latest data says the import of this innerwear product has upped 8.46 per cent in May this year as compared to April.
The country has imported US $ 246.50 million worth of brassieres in May, surpassing US $ 227.27 million figure that was registered in the preceding month, as disclosed by OTEXA data.
Amongst top 5 importing destinations, USA witnessed reduced import from Bangladesh (down 5.72 per cent) and Indonesia (down 3.53 per cent), while the shipment from China, Vietnam and Sri Lanka grew on month-over-month basis in May by 4.89 per cent, 21.16 per cent and 11.45 per cent, respectively.
Not to mention, due to pandemic, the apparel trade shrank to greater levels in 2020 and therefore the Y-o-Y percentage change in 2021 seems too big!
