Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) and Ginners Group has asked Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) to act upon its cotton purchasing plan as more than two million bales of cotton are lying unsold. The cotton market of Pakistan is also witnessing a sharp drop in the official spot rate, which was down by Rs. 100 to Rs. 4,800. In the ready session, around 5,000 bales of cotton changed hands at Rs. 4,250 to Rs. 5,150. In both Sindh and Punjab, seed cotton prices were unchanged due to lack of buying interest.
