In the current scenario there are greater challenges for small and medium level players, however there are a few who discard all odds and make the best out of given opportunities and business acumen. Sparsh Collection, just about 3½ years old company founded by young Gagan Garg has witnessed 100% growth since its inception and is expecting the same in this financial year too.
Working with very clear vision, Gagan in an interaction with Apparel Online shares, “We are working with US based wholesalers who give us volume orders; the FOB rates of our basic garments range from US $ 2.5 to US $ 6 but our basics too have value additions in terms of new washes and finishes along with surface ornamentation.” With MOQ of 2,000 pieces, the company outsources most of its production and exports 25,000 units per month. Gagan takes outsourcing of manufacturing as an advantage as he need not take pressure of production and can focus completely on market initiatives. “Arranging and handling labour is not an easy task. If you have good fabricators, you need not to worry about quality and delivery,” he concludes.
