
The eight-day 9th National SME Product Fair-2021 is all set be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center from 5 to 12 December.
Media reports mentioned this as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair virtually as the chief guest on 5 December.
Meanwhile, as many as 116 fashion design companies and 37 leather products companies apart from 29 jute products companies, 36 food and agro processing companies, 33 handicraft companies and other entities will, reportedly, participate in this eight-day event.
It may be mentioned here that the ninth edition of the said event was supposed to be held in March but had to be postponed by the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Foundation due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
This year, around 311 organisations are participating in the fair with 325 stalls (60 per cent of which belong to women entrepreneurs), claimed reports even as addressing a press conference recently, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, reportedly, underlined that apart from the entrepreneurs, Brac Bank, Eastern Bank, Bank Asia, Janata Bank, Dhaka Bank, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation, Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center, Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution, Jute Diversification Promotion Centre, Mutual Trust Bank Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and Dhaka Stock Exchange, will also participate in the fair.
