One of Bangladesh’s renowned garment manufacturers, Shasha Garments Limited, is investing US $ 5 million to set up a garment manufacturing unit in the Dhaka Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
Media reports maintained this while adding that an agreement to this direction was signed between M/s Shasha Garments Limited and the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) in the presence of BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Md. Nazrul Islam.
The Managing Director of Shasha Garments, Parveen Mahmud and member (investment promotion) of BEPZA, Md. Mahmudul Hossain Khan, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
The new facility of Shasha, which will be their fourth in EPZs, will, reportedly, produce 6.75 million pieces of men’s pant, women’s pant, boy’s pant and jacket annually while also providing employment to around 2,000 people.
