Zakia Sultana, who is the Industries Secretary, said the Commerce Ministry, Fisheries and Livestock Ministry, and Industries Ministry have formed monitoring teams to ensure the preservation and fair price of rawhides of sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Azha, while adding that these teams were performing their responsibilities well to ensure proper collection and preservation of rawhides.
Reports maintained this adding that the Industries Secretary has further informed that the monitoring teams are also ensuring that there is no mismanagement over the rawhides of sacrificial animals.
…the teams are working centrally and at the field level, claimed Zakia Sultana while underlining that the issues pertaining to preservation of rawhides and fair price are being monitored with utmost importance.
Zakia Sultana made these observations during her recent visit to the Savar-based Leather Industrial City even as she, reportedly, also visited the Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) at BSCIC Leather Industrial City in Savar.
