The four-day long Messe Frankfurt’s Techtextil Expo is scheduled to be held between May 14 and 17 this year, and Bangladesh can gain a lot if it participates in the same, so feels the organisers of the event.
As per media reports, representatives of Messe Frankfurt speaking at a press conference in Dhaka recently maintained that Bangladesh can learn a lot about latest technology in the textile and apparel sectors by participating in the Techtextil and Texprocess expos while also being able to enter the technical textile market and establish a network with the potential buyers.
“Texprocess will exhibit the complete range of textile-garment machineries available including design, layout, cutting, making, trimming, digital textile printing, conditioning, finishing, textile logistics and textile recycling machines,” reportedly observed Omer Salahuddin, CEO, Messe Frankfurt Bangladesh, adding, “So, by taking part in this exposition, Bangladeshi apparel manufacturers can benefit by sharing knowledge and networking with potential buyers.”
It may be mentioned here that as per reports, technical textiles account for 27 per cent of global textile production and by 2020, the market is expected to grow to US $ 175 billion.
With annual sales worth 13 billion Euros, Germany is the global market leader for technical textiles.
The world’s largest trade fair and event organiser, Messe Frankfurt is organising the highly-popular expos this year in Frankfurt.
As per the organiser of the event, Techtextil would cover “technical textile” which includes geotextiles, medical textiles, safety and security wear, protective garments and sports clothing.
