Following the decline in cotton prices in the global markets, garment makers in Bangladesh are hoping increased work orders December onwards.
Media reports maintained this citing the industry insiders.
Speaking to the media, BGMEA President Faruque Hassan, reportedly, underlined when apparel makers can supply garment items at competitive prices, which is but expected as cotton prices decline, buyers will also place big volumes of work orders again even as the Managing Director of Malek Spinning Mills (a major spinner and cotton importer) A Matin Chowdhury, on his part, reportedly, said if the current downtrend in international cotton prices continues for the next few months, a major impact may be noticed on local yarn sales from December onwards.
