
Businesses in India have shown interest to invest in the non-cotton segment of the Bangladesh readymade garment industry.
The president of the apex garment makers’ body has maintained this, as per reports.
Speaking to the media, BGMEA President Faruque Hassan, reportedly, said during his recent visit to India with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he had called upon the Indian businessmen to invest in non-cotton segment.
“In response they expressed their interest to do so,” reportedly, underlined the BGMEA chair, who was amongst many business leaders who had accompanied Sheikh Hasina during her four-day state visit to India.
