At the inauguration of textile exhibition Vastram – Splendid World of Indian Textiles, held in Muscat, Oman, India’s ambassador to the Sultanate, Indra Mani Pandey invited Omani investments in India’s textile sector, textiles being an important part of India’s exports to the Sultanate. He added that more investors’ meets like the recently held Oman-India Investment Meet will be held to encourage more Omani companies to invest in India.
The exhibition featured more than 30 traditional Indian textiles and a large site-specific installation in three categories – painted/printed, woven/non-woven, and embroidery and embellishments.
