After almost three months of slowdown, there’s a spurt in fresh inquiries from global buyers for the spring season giving rise to hope that apparel orders are all set to pick up in the days to come even if apparel makers are seeing this as a positive development amidst the global economic downturn.
This is as per media reports, which cited the industry in this regard even if the garment exporters have claimed enquiries apart, buyers are still quoting lower price for apparel products.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media, sources from within the BGMEA has reportedly claimed RMG export in the first 20 days of November has seen nearly a 6 per cent year-on-year growth even if orders shifting from China as many parts of the country are still in Coronavirus-induced lockdown, have proved beneficial for Bangladesh.
Interacting with the media, Managing Director of Rising Group Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu reportedly underlined they are expecting new orders from next month even as apparel makers in general expressed concerns about the current gas and electricity situation in the country.
