Narrowing the gap between the skills that the educational institutes provide and the requirements of the market demand is possible. For that, Bangladesh needs exceptionally bright minds to lead in the future, said Moyeen Hyder Chowdhury, country manager at Puma Bangladesh.
He made this remark at an event titled INSPIRATION organised by Textile Focus on 24th February at the Intertek Bangladesh office in the capital.
Managing director of Pakiza Knit Group, Rakibul Islam Khan stated during his presentation at the occasion that there are a tonne of job prospects for textile engineers in the supply chain. Adding, “The industry ultimately saves resources when textile graduates lead the supply chain.”
According to Mayeesha Mahmud, director of Cotton Group, the nation’s RMG sector is gearing up for its next growth phase and hopes to become a pioneer in sustainable manufacturing.
“For textile and RMG enterprises to achieve sustainable growth, they need more talented, driven textile graduates, she added.
Among others, Kyaw Sein Thay Dolly, managing director, Cloths R Us; AKM Saifur Rahman Forhad, managing partner, WIKITEX-BD; Sakin Burc, CEO, Queentex Kimya; also spoke at the event.
The event technology partner Yonghao Machinery presented their technology and how that is helping the industry. Innovation partner SIP Italy presented their innovations in sewing technologies, especially in the denim industry.
The program drew over 100 participants from various factories, corporate offices, and institutions.
