The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen bilateral trade relations.
The signing ceremony took place at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, where Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of MATRADE, and Baby Rani Karmakar, Director General of EPB, represented their respective organizations.
In a statement, both sides said the MoU lays the groundwork for closer cooperation, highlighting their shared commitment to expanding trade and investment between the two countries.
The agreement is expected to open doors for greater export opportunities, create new business linkages, and strengthen overall economic engagement between Bangladesh and Malaysia.
Analysts have described the move as a timely initiative to accelerate long-term trade growth and unlock broader prospects for enterprises on both sides.
