Brand Bureau India based in Delhi, a small buying house with big vision and effective team, sourcing for export as well as domestic market for the last one year, is sure to achieve double growth in the coming year. A venture of 4 NIFTians, Brand Bureau India is associated with almost 70 vendors of garments, home furnishing, home décor and hard goods supplying to 22 boutiques and 5 wholesalers, besides the buyers from Poland, Germany and US.
Narendra Pal Singh, heading the buying house, a graduate from NIFT Hyderabad told Apparel Online, “All of our core team members have industry exposure, but were not satisfied with their work environment as most of the industry is still unorganized, so we decided to start our own business to get the value as well as growth. Though in the first year our sourcing for domestic was more than for exports, but this year as we get more exposure of exports and conditions are also improving, we are sure for almost double growth in the export segment.”
The company is also looking for new vendors as it is expecting good growth and its priority is to work with vendors who can supply small orders also. “Our vision is to promote sustainability on ground level through our work, so that the workers can get benefit and since we will work more with small and medium level vendors due to requirement of small orders, we will motivate them to be compliant and ethical in their operation. We have visited some fairs also to find such new vendors,” shares Narendra. Majority of the vendors that the buying office is working with are from Jaipur, Delhi-NCR and Panipat. The average FOB of the products sourced by the company is US $ 16-18, and out of its total sourcing 65 per cent is of women’s wear (woven and knit both) and rest is home furnishing and hard goods. Its total sourcing of apparels in its one year operation was 1,35,000 pieces, which they expect to double this year.
