The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to raise Chinese FDI in Bangladesh.
Media reports claimed BIDA Executive Chairman Mohammad Sirazul Islam has underlined that most FDI proposals in Bangladesh come from China and added as part of signing of the MoU, both the organisations will work together to increase foreign investment, especially from China.
It may be mentioned here that in FY‘22, China topped in the registration for FDI in BIDA by registering investments worth US $ 770 million and South Korea came second with investment worth US $161 million.
