‘Local International’, a development program for fashion design graduates from Dhaka and Berlin, focusing on sustainability & fair production methods which aims to raise awareness about sustainability, participation & fair trade within the fashion industry has now been joined by lecturers of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) Md. Iftekhar Rahman and Md. Shamsad Hasnine. The project is jointly organized by Goethe-Institut, weißensee kunst-hochschule (School of Art) Berlin and Universität der Künste (University of the Art) Berlin. This is an international tandem project where 12 young designers from Germany and Bangladesh will work collectively.
