
Close on heels of a directive from the concerned authorities pertaining to 15-day gas rationing for the industries, the apex garment makers’ body in Bangladesh has called upon the Government to keep the supply of natural gas unhindered to the export-oriented garment and textile industries.
According to media reports, the President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Faruque Hassan, made this call at a recent meeting with Managing Director of Titas Gas Transmission & Distribution Company Limited (TGTDCL), Engr. Md Haronur Rashid Mullah.
During the meeting, the BGMEA President was accompanied by BGMEA Vice-President Shahidullah Azim, in which was also present TGTDCL Director (Operation) Engr. Md Salim Miah.
