
As many as seven entities are being honoured by the Ministry of Textiles and Jute for their contributions towards protecting the textiles sector in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Media reports maintained this while adding Golam Dastagir Gazi, who is the Textiles and Jute Minister, announced the same at a recent press conference.
According to reports, the seven entities to be honoured by the Ministry of Textiles and Jute are namely Bangladesh Terry Towel & Linen Manufacturers and Exporters Association, the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Bangladesh National Weavers Association, the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association, Bangladesh Specialized Textile Mills & Powerloom Industries and the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA).
At the press meet, the Textiles and Jute Minister, reportedly, underlined the Ministry of Textiles and Jute has continued its overall activities to take the textile industry forward on the path of globalisation.
