
Following the dull October export figures, Bangladesh’s exports fetched US $ 2.42 billion this November. The apparel sector contributed to the earnings by 81 per cent. The figure for November registered a rise of 24 per cent over October and nine per cent more than November 2013. While the dull October is attributed to Eid and Durga Puja, industry experts expect the exports to rise for the current fiscal if the political situation remains stable. Notably enough, woven garments registered earnings of US $ 4.96 billion during the same period, less by 1.26 per cent than the previous year.
