
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun while terming the small and medium enterprises as the lifeline of Bangladesh’s economy, has recently maintained that the Government has been providing all necessary support to the SME sector.
Reports maintained this adding the Industries Minister made this observation while addressing a virtual discussion organised by the SME Foundation on the occasion of the 46th Martyrdom Anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation and the National Mourning Day.
“…small and medium industries are the lifeline of the country’s economy. Therefore, organisations like Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) and SME Foundation are needed to give more incentives for development of this sector,” reportedly, maintained the Industries Minister.
Professor Md. Masudur Rahman, who is the Chairperson of the SME Foundation, reportedly, presided over the discussion.
