One of the leading garment manufacturers of Bangladesh, Ananta Group is all set to establish an apparel manufacturing unit at the Chittagong Export Processing Zone.
To be built at a cost of US $ 25 million, Z&Z Lingerie Limited’s (a concern of the Ananta Group) factory will produce around 43 million pieces of intimatewear, sportswear and leggings while also providing employment to around 4,736 people.
The Managing Director of Z&Z Lingerie Ltd., Sharif Zahir and member for investment promotion at Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), Md. Mahmudul Hossain Khan, signed an agreement to this end at Dhaka’s Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority Complex on Thursday.
We are planning to start work on the new project next year, reportedly stated Sharif Zahir while adding that Ananta Group already has a lingerie manufacturing factory in the Chittagong EPZ which has been set up at a cost of US $ 30 million.
It may be mentioned here that the upcoming unit will be the sixth industrial unit of the same owner inside the EPZ, according to the statement.
Ananta Group, reportedly, has investments in sweaters, denim and men’s suits in Adamjee EPZ and employs over 26,000 people.
