
Bangladesh Government is going to give ‘National Export Trophy’ to 66 exporters, including several from the garments and textile sector, for being the highest foreign currency earner of Bangladesh in the 2017-18 financial year.
This was underlined by media reports, as per which, President Abdul Hamid is expected to hand over the awards to the winners at a virtual programme.
Reports further added Zaber & Zubair Fabrics will get the ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy’— Bangladesh Government has introduced this for the first time to encourage exporters to strive for exporting more goods and services — for earning the highest amount through shipments of home and specialised textiles.
The rest of the entities will, reportedly, get ‘National Export Trophy’ even if the recognition is, reportedly, being given in three categories, namely gold, silver and bronze.
Envoy Textiles would be, reportedly, awarded for the highest export earnings from the textile fabrics sector even if Four H Dyeing and Printing and Noman Weaving Mills are also going to get recognition for becoming third and second in export earnings in the sector.
Reports also maintained Rifat Garments will get the trophy in gold category for earning the highest amount through exports in readymade garments in the woven sector while AKM Knit Wear will get the recognition in silver category and Tarasima Apparels in bronze.
Square Fashions is going to receive the gold medal in knitwear sector, Four H Fashions silver and GMS Composite Knitting Ind. will get the trophy in the bronze category.
