
Around 1,395 buyers from as many as 52 nations have registered to take part in the Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau’s (EPB) ‘Sourcing Bangladesh-2021 Virtual Edition’.
Media reports maintained this adding entities involved in readymade garments (RMG), leather and leather products, home textile and home decor apart from pharmaceuticals, jute and jute products, ceramics, ICT, plastic, etc., will showcase their products in the fair.
Meanwhile, inaugurating the fair recently, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, reportedly, said the EPB has organised the virtual expo to keep the market activities rolling even as while trade fairs worldwide have been suspended owing to the COVID-19 pandemic while BGMEA President Faruque Hassan on his part, reportedly, underlined the event (Sourcing Bangladesh 2021) will play a pivotal role in exploring the market and retaining the momentum of the export growth while adding that Bangladesh was the second largest exporting country in terms of apparels and it has been catering to almost all the major global brands and retailers for over four decades.
