
With the signing of the 16.9 MWp Rooftop Solar Power Plant CapEx project at Ha-Meem Group’s Textile Zone, Bangladesh is making significant progress towards industrial sustainability. The project will be the biggest solar initiative for denim and spinning operations in the nation, covering the rooftops of Ha-Meem Denim Ltd., Ha-Meem Spinning Ltd., and Ha-Meem Textile Ltd.
This historic project, which reflects Bangladesh’s strategic effort for clean energy infrastructure and industrial decarbonisation, will have Solaric Group as its EPC Partner and get funding from IDCOL.
The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from Ha-Meem Group, including Abdul Kader Azad, Managing Director; Amin, CEO, Textile Business; Habibur Rahman, CFO; Tanul Chakraborty, HOD, Power and Energy; and Ashis Basak, GM. IDCOL was represented by Alamgir Morshed, CEO and Enamul Karim Pavel, Head of Renewable Energy.
Naznin Akther, Director and Antar Anwar, AGM, Business Development, Solaric Group assessed the solar project’s design and technical feasibility. Their association proves that innovation and strategic vision are building the sustainable industrial future of Bangladesh.
The project’s main features include: 40% green energy supply for denim and spinning operations; 70% energy cost reduction; Bangladesh’s largest rooftop solar project for denim and spinning.
The project team stated, “This project is not just about powering industries; it’s about empowering change for a cleaner and smarter Bangladesh.”
