Yet another fire incident was reported from Bangladesh and this time around it’s in a spinning mill!

According to reports, a fire broke out at a Faridpur-based spinning mill in Sreepur Upazila of Gazipur district around 2:00 pm on Tuesday, which claimed lives of at least four workers including the mill’s security guard.

As per Deputy Director of Gazipur Fire Service Control room Mohammad Aktaruzzaman, 18 fire-fighting units were rushed to the spinning mill to control the fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon.

After a 12-hour effort, the blaze was reportedly brought under control but by then valuables, including cotton and machineries, were destroyed.

After dousing the fire, firefighters were able to recover the charred bodies of four workers, which were sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

A three-member committee has now been formed to identify the cause of the fire.
