Terming human rights a shared responsibility, a supply chain expert has recently maintained European Union-based fashion brands are increasingly becoming serious about their role in the global supply chain in terms of human rights.
According to media reports, international supply chain expert Annabel Meurs, who is also the head of supply chain transformation at Fair Wear Foundation, maintained this adding brands’ actions have a significant influence on labour conditions in the sourcing destinations even as she, reportedly, underlined manufacturers also share the responsibility of protecting human rights alongside the foreign brands.
“Brands in Europe have a role to play, but it certainly is in collaboration with partners in the sourcing countries like Bangladesh,” reportedly, added Annabel further.
