Appreciating the garment factories that have already invested in training of workers, the President of the apex garment makers’ body in Bangladesh has called upon all the member factories of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA)to arrange in-house training for both workers and supervisors in order to strengthen the future of the industry.
Media reports maintained this while adding Faruque Hassan has underlined workplace-based training was more effective than classroom training even as he highlighted need for skilled workers was one of the core priorities of BGMEA and the Government.
“….in this juncture of opportunities and constraints, shortage of skilled labour force has emerged as a major concern for us,” reportedly, stated the BGMEA President even as he underlined factory-based skill development training will benefit the industry.
