The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), the apex body representing the entire textile industry of the country, has announced its new office-bearers during a meeting held in Mumbai on September 20.
Sanjay K Jain, Managing Director of T. T. Limited, an apparel manufacturing company, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the trade association.
Jain is known for his dynamic role in dealing with the core issues of the textile industry. In his role at CITI, he will continue to focus on the important subjects of the industry to give it a much-needed push and take it to the next level in the global market.
He is also associated with Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA), TEXPROCIL, Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), FICCI Textiles Group and various other trade bodies.
Furthermore, T. Rajkumar, Chairman, Sri Mahasakthi Mills Limited (Kerala), Sri Arumuga Enterprise Limited and Foundation One Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd. (Tamil Nadu) has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman.
D.L. Sharma, Director, Vardhman Group and Managing Director of Vardhman Yarns and Threads Limited, has been elected as the Vice Chairman of CITI. He is also associated with CII National Committee on Textiles as a member.
