
Athleta has announced the launch of its new clothing line ‘Athleta Girl’, meant only for young girls, aged between 6 and 14 years. The collection will be available online and in all Athleta stores across the US this summer.
Confirming the launch, Nancy Green, President, Athleta, said, “Sporty is how girls are dressing today. Just like their moms, sisters, aunts and friends, they are living more active lives. We see ‘Athleta Girl’ as an opportunity to offer her clothes that are comfortable, stylish, high-quality, built to move and will perform for her.”
Fashioned for young girls, the ‘Athleta Girl’ collection will cater to a range of sports, including running, soccer, dance, gymnastics, basketball and swimming. The clothing line will also include active lifestyle pieces that can be worn throughout the day.
The collection will incorporate key styles from Athleta Women’s Collection, such as run shorts, capris and tops, along with new styles designed specifically for a younger customer.
Green added, “Similar to our women’s line, we wanted to create pieces that are rooted in performance, but are versatile enough to be worn at any time in a girl’s day. Her style is already all about sport, even if she’s not playing a sport. The collection will be the go-to pieces for her wardrobe.”
