There seems to be no end to the legal hassles of the top honchos of Bangladesh e-commerce firm Evaly even as one its customers has very recently filed three cases against the company’s chairperson Shamima Nasrin, and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Rassel.
Media reports maintained this adding the said customer of the e-commerce firm, who happens to be a businessman, filed the cases against the duo with the court of Metropolitan Magistrate related to the so-called dishonouring of a cheque even as he, reportedly, underlined he had ordered goods from e-commerce firm paying Taka 7.30 lakh to get goods within 45 days of the order placement and, after passage of 45 days, Evaly, reportedly, gave him two City Bank and one Eastern Bank cheques of Taka 10.72 lakh.
However, when he deposited the cheques with the respective banks to cash the same, they were dishonoured.
It may be mentioned here Evaly has courted controversy lately due to alleged malpractices and anomalies, as a result of which, several cases have, reportedly, been filed against Evaly in different cities of Bangladesh.
