
In a shocking development that has created ripples in the garment manufacturing industry of Bangladesh, the Chairman of Prince Garment Private Limited, Md. Taslim Akhter, reportedly succumbed to Coronavirus on Thursday, claimed media reports.
Taslim, who was admitted in Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital and was undergoing treatment for COVID-19 there, breathed his last at 3:30 PM, underlined a press communique issued by the apex garment makers’ body of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
He was tested positive of the dreaded virus on Wednesday.
Burial of the Chairman of Prince Garments would reportedly be done under the supervision and arrangement made by the Government.
Meanwhile, as per latest available reports, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Bangladesh has reached 330 with 21 deaths so far.
It may be mentioned here that a garment worker in the port city of Chittagong in Bangladesh was earlier tested positive of Coronavirus as well.
