The spinning industry, a critical backward linkage in Bangladesh’s textile and apparel value chain, is facing mounting pressure due to what industry representatives describe as prolonged policy imbalances, excessive reliance on bonded warehouse facilities, and the absence of a coherent long-term strategic roadmap.

South Korean firm to invest US $ 80 million in bag, garment manufacturing unit in BEPZA EZ
The proposed facility will manufacture handbags, backpacks and luggage, along with a broad range of knit and woven garments. The product portfolio will include polo shirts, T-shirts, padded and down jackets, trousers, sportswear and undergarments.
