New Jack Sewing Machine announced that it had doubled its global sales of sewing machines, while retaining the top spot in terms of sales volume in India and the 2nd position in Bangladesh. This achievement cannot alone be attributed to the company’s R&D for developing suitable sewing machines for the industry and the performance of its machines, because the agents and dealers of the company worldwide also contribute a significant share to the sales and are also responsible for upholding the image of the company by providing robust after-sales service and support. Having realized the same, Jack has been conducting international dealers’ meets and workshops in China for the past two years.
The company has conducted more than 10 such workshops and meets both in China and in countries like Bangladesh and Uzbekistan. The focus of such conclaves covers a broad range of topics and issues from control box maintenance to how to maintain a network of sub-dealers. “Such initiatives not only help us get closer to our dealers and agents but also help us improve their mode of operations both by imparting management-related and machinery- related knowledge,” said Jimmy, Director – International Trade, Jack Sewing Machine Company.
The training initiatives focus on three areas of technical assistance, popularization of production floor related knowledge and marketing. While marketing-oriented training is structured around group discussions over pricing and advertisement strategies, these sessions are also used to discuss market plans that are to be executed region-wise. The technical training sessions are structured as a course comprising of theory and games that concludes with assessments and certificates. On the other hand, Jack’s service personnel often hold a series of training courses overseas to address the fast expanding international markets.
